Outlook sucks!
Chi lavora su Notes probabilmente avrà a avuto i suoi problemi con alcune “incongruenze” nella progettazione dell’interfaccia di Notes, seppure ci stiano lavorando ci sono molte cose che dalla 8 in poi saranno pesantamente riorganizzate (ed in alcuni casi lo sono già state), in ogni caso gli utenti hanno creato il piuttosto famoso sito “Lotus Notes Sucks!” che anche ai tecnici più fedeli ad IBM chiaramente fà ridere… ma ecco che Felix se nme arriva con un’altra chicca:

- I had to do a Google search to figure out how print an email. It was not intuitive to me to click the maimed-butterfly-impaled-on-chrome icon in the corner
Ci vogliate credere o meno, è terribilmente vero, ho avuto lo stesso problema, e mi ci sono voluti 15 minuti a me per trovare il tasto con gli utenti che mi giuravano che non ci fosse più…
27. No way to force Outlook to retrieve messages, even when you know they are on the server.
- I’ll often get a message on my Blackberry, yet nothing shows up in Outlook, even after hitting the “Send-Receive” button. You just have to wait until Outlook, in its infinite knowledge, decides that now is the appointed time to download messages. (Non-exchange email, like my private POP3 account, is always retrieved immediately when I hit “Send-Receive”.)
- Correction: I just found out that this is possible by hitting CTRL-F9. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that on my own, it’s so intuitive! (However, this forces a complete re-syncing, which takes much longer that a normal update cycle.)
Perchè questo CTRL+F9 mi ricorda terribilmente notes?
